Protesters Confront Arizona Attorney General
Tom Horne at State Capitol
Tom Horne was leaving the State Capitol when a TV local reporter approached him and asked him
for an interview. Horne was quickly surrounded by protesters who were at the State Capitol. As he
was being interviewed, demonstrators were chanting loudly at the man who was previously the
Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction, and whose policy has caused controversy for
prohibiting the teaching of Ethnic Studies at the Tucson Unified School District (TUSD). After the
interview, protesters followed Horne all the way to the parking lot where he boarded his Jaguar
and left waving to the small crowd.
